The River City Jazz Orchestra is a talented group of musicians from around the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin dedicated to promoting live big band jazz. The group began in 1980 at the Inver Hills Community College and has incorporated as a non-profit. They perform monthly at the Minnesota Music Cafe in St. Paul on the third Tuesday and at public and private gatherings around the area.
