The Capital City Wind Ensemble – the CCWE – is the City employee band of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

It was founded by the legendary Max Metzger in 2002, and consists of City and Ramsey County employees and retirees, plus other Downtown St. Paul and University of Minnesota workers, and a few friends, too.

The 24-member group plays concerts at the Saint Paul City Hall and Ramsey County Courthouse, at the St. Paul Winter Carnival, and various parks around the city. Contact Mary Livingston if you'd like the CCWE to play for your event.

The group has been led by Mary Livingston and Roger Grupp since the fall of 2006. Mary is a retiree from the Parks and Recreation Department, and Roger is a Public Works retiree.
