The LaValle Jazz Cats (Little Big Band) fills a unique niche, larger than an intimate combo, and smaller than the full sound of a jazz orchestra, with a 10 piece band. Lead by Charles Kemper, PhD - piano, and vocalist Lisa Carney Anderson, who will amaze you with her interpretation and full jazz sound, the musicians include: Rich Manik, PhD, Kathi LaValle, and Linda Aronson (saxes), George Henly (trombone), Kurt Christianson and Dan Theobald (trumpets), Mike Wobig on bass, Steve Lewis on drums, and sound engineer Dean LaValle. Our Little Big Band enjoys focusing on a unique mix of classic works performed by Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Natalie Cole, Etta James, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and more recently Michael Buble, and Harry Connick Jr, Chick Corea, and more.
