Come on down for 2 hours of musical fun at the Como Park Pavilion with The Dale Dahlquist Trio.
Joining Dale are "His Lowness", bassist Dik Hedlund, whose credits include touring with Bonnie Raitt and A Prairie Home Companion, and rhythm guru Will Kemperman on drums. Will teaches percussion at Hamline University, University of St. Thomas and Normandale College.
Special guest: former U.S. kickboxing champion Terry Norblom, now one of Dale’s most talented students. You’ll get a kick out of his guitar work.
Dale’s wizardry on the steel-string guitar will include Chicago blues, Big Band jazz, western swing, and nostalgic folk and rock tunes made for outdoors. You’ll hear the sounds of Duke Ellington, Paul Simon, Bob Wills, Boz Scaggs, Gram Parsons, T Bone Walker and Django Reinhardt, to name just a few.
Dale will also sport a few classics on the mandolin ranging from a Godfather theme to a swingin’ Sweet Georgia Brown.
During the concert, enjoy delicious food, fine wine and craft beer from the new Spring Café, which is attached to the pavilion.
