Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre presents DECAMERON 20:20. Inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio's classic, "The Decameron" (1349), in this modern version, nine international flamenco artists follow in Boccaccio's footsteps and create ten daily works of art expressing their array of emotions while in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each flamenco dancer had 24-hours to create a new choreographic work to composer-guitarist Jose Luis de la Paz's two-minute twenty-second original music. Emotionally wrought, "Decameron 20:20" is a musical and theatre flamenco dance masterpiece told through the film's editor James Peitzman.
Join these artists on their ten-day journey in isolation during the 2020 pandemic from Rome, Italy, to the Bay area of Califonia; mountain cliffs in New Mexico to the streets of Madrid, Spain, in this feature short film. Your rental includes the entire collection of the eight dancer's daily choreographic works (80 stories).
